Rafting with the CORE

Five couples from our small group at church hit the rapids of the Ocoee. We have such an amazing mix of people. We are so blessed to have such great friends.

We had a fun-filled game night and then caught some zzzz's at the ole Douglas Inn. We got the next day started right with a hearty breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We even had enough time to do some rockin' in the rocking chairs.

We had to split up into 2 boats once we got there. We ended up with the Cosbys. Our guide's name was Spaz. That should provide some insight into how our ride was. He tried his best to give us our money's worth for sure. Bret got to "ride the bull" and Spaz even deflated the raft towards the end for a more exciting ride. He had trouble with our names too... so I was "Ilene" ??, Bret was "Big B," Shaun was "Michael," and Ashley (who had the easiest name ever) was "Amy" (like rhymes with cash - he still couldn't get it). The good news is my knee held up pretty well, especially with my trusty new brace. Here are some of the pics from the river.

We had a wonderful weekend. We missed those of you that couldn't make it. There were definitely lots of memories made and lots of good laughs shared. Love you all!
